I bought my first Cracklebox in 2005 directly from STEIM, made a few for myself and a few friends and used it extensively during many years.
Recently i built a new Cracklebox for ADDAC System, this EP is the side product of testing the prototypes of the ADDAC708 Michel Waiswisz's Kraakdoos, a Cracklebox replica for Eurorack.

All sounds generated are triggered by touch, every note that appears is generated by a touch action on the Cracklebox pads, no external sequencing or randomness in this one.

The patch used mainly consisted of patching the Kraakdoos output signal as both an audio and cv source, splited at the output and sent into 2 different sections:
1. Audio section, patched to an audio mixer
2. CV section, further splitted and patched to multiple cv processors, slews, comparators and sample and holds that would then control the cv and gate input of an ADDAC207 Quantizer, the quantized cv outputs were sent to 2 Rings for note generation and then patched to the same audio mixer from section 1.
The audio mixer is then patched to an ADDAC112 for some granular processing and then sent through external reverb into a soundcard.

The tracks vary between one shot recordings and heavily edited.
